In 1521, Jakob Fugger established the St. Moritz Prädikatur-Stiftung (St. Moritz foundation for preaching) and the Fuggerei Foundation. The founder was responding to the congregation's desire for a better quality of sermons. In the jubilee year, the Fugger Foundations honoured the value of good words with a cycle of sermons on seven social challenges that are facing society today.
Inspiration from the sermons formed the basis of more discussions at the end of the jubilee year in the programme at the Fuggerei NEXT500 Pavilion: Participants from the seven fascinating talks explored the topics from other, very different perspectives.
